COMMUNITY

“SAN PABLO” School

Located in “La Paz” suburb in southwest Barranquilla, we have adopted it as a model for the improvement in infrastructure and educational quality.

Since 2007, we have invested over one thousand million Pesos in infrastructure, as well as in a qualified and suitable staff.

We started with the construction of the canteen, with an investment of 78 million Pesos. In a space of 4 meters wide and 11 meters long, with red colonial Eternit shingles and exposed concrete bricks preserving the institution’s façade with kitchen and canteen incorporated, 250 undernourished children receive their daily nutritional supply.

The bathrooms were expanded and remodeled with a 32 million Pesos investment that follows the higher standards of health and toilet functions. We have hired new, highly qualified teachers in areas such as English, Preschool, Music, Arts, Ethics and Value – with degrees from Atlantico University. We provide all the necessary tools so they can effectively transmit knowledge, because they are directly in charge of not only teaching them a subject, but also instilling moral and ethical values so they can become better people, role models and future leaders.

Every year, we invest an average of 80.000.000 Pesos in supplies in English, Music, Ethics and Values. In 2009, 8 new classrooms were built in a 580 meter space to increase accommodate students from 6th to 9th grade. This beautiful work of turning San Pablo School into one of the best educational institutions in southwest Barranquilla doesn’t end there. By the end of 2012, and with an investment of 469 million Pesos, we began construction on a new building. Projected to be 3 stories high. In 2013, the first stage was formally opened, which included a chemistry lab, bathrooms and 5 new classrooms, a completing high school that goes up to the 11th Grade, thus expanding the San Pablo School capacity to 1800 students.

San Pablo School’s infrastructure growth goes hand-in-hand with a top-notch human resource, 100% qualified and properly equipped to successfully fulfill its mission.
